These expansions aren’t really needed, but you may use them too:

- The Sims 2 Pets
- The Sims 2 Bon Voyage

What’s the picture? Well, your Sims become Hippies. Now we have Free Time there are a lot of possibilities to create Hippie families.
How? For start, your Sims aren’t allowed to have a job. They can not make money by having a regular job, they are hippies and earn their money a different way. And that’s the reason you need to have Open for Business. Your Sims are going to sell self-crafted items at home to earn enough money to live and pay the bills (business lots are not allowed, Hippies don’t have enough money to buy such a lot).

== HOW TO EARN MONEY ==
In The Sims 2 you can paint. In The Sims 2 Pets you can add custom paintings (place your own pictures (JPEG) in the directory My DocumentsEA GamesDe Sims 2Paintings). Your Sims needs a Creativity level 5 or up to make custom paintings.
In The Sims 2 University you can use instruments to make music. Performing solo or in a band is a easy way to earn some money. This will be very handy when you are on a public lot, or when you have a lot of visitors.
In The Sims 2 Open for Business you can create flower pieces or make toys. Children can help in making some money by selling lemonade. A hair salon is not allowed. Hippie Sims let their hair grow, so hairdressers are evil people.
You can’t sell items from the catalogue. This would ruin the “self madeâ€ÂÂ
